Buy or Sell ACCSEC Style

It has already turned into full time football mode and the last two weeks of media days and news has kept us all very busy. I really thought this year's two sets of Media Days SEC and ACC were highlighted by "awkard moments" with Commissioner and or Media Department having to adress the Penn State situation as well as the usual landscape of "coach speak". The key to these deals is who are you "buying" and who are you "selling"? So with that in mind I am giving you my ACCSEC Buy or Sell ListLarry Fedora, North Carolina- I am buying and investing. Too bad the Heels can't go to a Bowl game this season.Nick Saban,Alabama- I am buyin and think this year will be different than 2010.John L.Smith, Arkansas- Sell and move to Florida. I think he needs to stay out of the way.Derek Dooley, Tennessee-I am selling because too much finger pointing. He seems like a really good guy, but staff and roster managment has me selling. Dabo Swinney, Clemson-I am buying and this guy gets it. He can recruit, his team is still not the preseason favorite which he like. His Brent Venables hire could turn up big.Joker Phillips, Kentucky- I am selling and I don't think he's gonna get it done in Lexington.Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss- You know what I wasnt sure on this hire and they wont be very good because of the talent but what the heck he sold me, I am buying.Tom OBrien, NC State- I am selling, he needs this win over Tennessee and a fast start to justify higher expectations in Raleigh.I am Holding on the following-Les Miles, LSU- Has great talent and great "kahunas" but something tells me that BCS game is going to have a lasting effect.-Will Muschamp, Florida-I am biased and I think he will get it done, but can Florida become a dominant power once again? Nine wins or better this year and he's on his way.-Jimbo Fisher, FSU-Picked to win the ACC again and if he doesnt this year the seat may become very warm.-Al Golden, Miami- He should be allowed to just take the next open BCS job without inteviewing. Who would have thought Temple would be a better job than Miami?Quick Thoughts-(Joe Paterno StatuePenn St. Sanctions) I think the statue itself was not helping anyone heal or anyone forget. If I were the Paterno's I would just back off. Out of sight and out of mind will help everyone try and get back to remembering football on the field. It's a difficult topic because everyone has an opinion, but the Paterno's need to take the high road and move on. As for the sanctions, they will become so irrelevant that this is the modern day death penalty. Bill Obrien should get the same option as Al Golden. Maybe this is why so many high profile names and guys like David Cutcliffe at Duke didnt want the job.-(FSU picked to win the ACC) Clemson is the defending champ and Virginia Tech is the bell cow, yet neither were picked to win the league. Clemson is taking a beating for it's bowl loss but they have a shot to win the division. The Coastal will be a two team race because North Carolina will not be eligible. Labor Day night could be the division championship game!-(Mark Schlabach has moved on from Talkin Football) It's about time! Just kidding Mark was a good friend and a tireless worker. He did things in the field the last few years (like go live at Auburn after the Cam Newton situation) that was tougher than a fall practice. We will all miss him and wish him the best.Follow me on twitter @bradyack
