An interstate battle loaded with big-time college football prospects takes center stage for week 7 of the CSS High School Football Game of the Week as the Montgomery Carver (AL) Wolverines host the Tri-Cities (GA) Bulldogs, Friday, 8:00 p.m. ET at the historic Cramton Bowl.

Carver enters the game 3-1 on the season and 6 in the Max Preps overall Alabama state rankings. The Wolverines three wins include a 49-24 season-opening victory at defending Alabama 6A state champion Prattville. The last 10 years have been the best in Carver's 80-year program history. The Wolverines are 41-12 in the last four-plus seasons and reached the Alabama state semi-finals twice in the last eight years, including the 2008 season in which Carver posted a program-best 13-1 record.

The Wolverines are led by second year head coach Billy Gresham who was the 2005 SWAC Defensive Player of the Year at Alabama State. Carver's famous football alumni include former Auburn star Aundray Bruce who was a number one pick in the NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons, former Alabama standout Byron Braggs, NC State safety
Fernandus Vinson and recent Mississippi State QB Chris Relf.

Tri-Cities is 2-2 on the season after posting the best season in the Bulldogs 24-year program history in 2011. The Bulldogs were 10-3 last season reaching the quarter-finals of the Georgia state playoffs following their first two post-season victories in Tri-Cities history. It was the first 10-win season in Bulldogs history and just their 5th winning season ever.

Tri-Cities is led by 5th year head coach Kenneth Miller and the Bulldogs famous football alumni include three former NFL veterans: South Carolina star Kalimba Edwards, former Georgia standout Jonas Jennings and Randy Thomas who starred at Mississippi State.

Carver In the Huddle Recruit Watch: 4-star Jeremy Johnson, 247 14 Pro Style QB who is committed to Auburn; 2-star Safety Shaun Rupert, who is committed to Arkansas State; 4-star Safety Draequan Murphy, 247 8 Junior in Alabama, committed to Arkansas State; 4-star Shaun Dion Hamilton, 247 7 Junior ILB & 7 Junior in Alabama whose leaders are Auburn and Clemson; 3-star DE John Michael Edwards, 247 9 Junior in Alabama whose offers include Auburn, Georgia and Southern Miss; and Junior WR Landy Capetillo, who is getting looks from Auburn, Clemson, Florida.
