After losing their first two games of the season vs. Gainesville (FL) and Buford (GA), Yulee has won three in a row, including victories over South Lake and Jackson. The Hornets finished 8-3 last season, reaching the 1st round of the state playoffs, qualifying for the post-season for the second straight year.
Yulee is led by 4th year head coach Bobby Ramsey with a record of 23-14 and two playoffs appearances in his first three seasons. Ramsey was an assistant to Coach Lee at First Coast, serving as DL Coach 2005-07. On the field, the Hornets are led by Derrick Henry's 1021 yards rushing and 11 TD. Quarterback Carson Royal has completed 48 of his passes for 372 yards, 5 TD and 5 INT. Yulee's top receiver is Zach Camp with 11 catches for 201 yards and 5 TD. Defensively the Hornets top tacklers are LB Chris Murdock with 52 stops and Safety Kelvin Rainey with 48 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 TFL and one interception.
