Lane Kiffin didn't beat Florida when he was the coach of Tennessee for the 2010 season. But he sure did make a lot of noise and directed it towards Gainesville, Fla.
Fast forward two years and Kiffin, the current head coach at Southern California, is still causing problems for the Gators. This time it's more than just words or accusations, Kiffin is out-recruiting the Gators on their home turf.
We're almost halfway through National Signing Day and two Florida recruits chose to make the trip cross country to play college football. Defensive tackle Leonard Williams (Daytona Beach, Fla.Mainland) and wide receiver Nelson Agholor (Tampa, Fla.Berkeley) both signed with USC Wednesday.
Williams, the third-ranked defensive end in the country, and Agholor, the third-ranked wide receiver in the country, both had their decision narrowed down to Florida and USC. The Gators lost out on both.
Florida, which had hoped to have a strong finish to National Signing Day and come away with a top-5 recruiting class, will now have to regroup.
