SEC Baseball Tournament: Kentucky Now Must Play From Behind

HOOVER, Ala. – On Monday, Kentucky head coach Gary Henderson said he didn’t want to think about how many wins his team needed in the SEC Baseball Tournament to feel safe about getting a bid to the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

I’m of the opinion the Wildcats need to play into the weekend to get an at-large bid.

If they’re going to keep playing, the Wildcats will have to do so from behind. After going down 1-2-3 in the top half of the first inning, Kentucky gave up a run on two hits in the bottom of the first to Ole Miss.

Not only will the Wildcats feel the pressure of Tuesday’s single-elimination game, but now must endure it with the Rebels already up one run.
