Antonio Andrews was at it again. The senior had a season-high 182 rushing yards, 35 more yards receiving, 33 yards on kickoff returns and two more on punt returns. He won the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week. He also won that award three times last season. He leads the FBS in yards from scrimmage and he also leads in rushing yards. Here are the top five in the FBS in rushing yards:
- Antonio Andrews (Western Kentucky): 727 rush yards
- Melvin Gordon (Wisconsin): 698 rush yards
- David Fluellen (Toledo): 626 rush yards
- Mark Weisman (Iowa): 615 rush yards
- Bishop Sankey (Washington): 607 rush yards
Sophomore Robert Lowe had some big gains and it was enough for the Bobcats to defeat the Wyoming Cowboys last week. The win gave head coach Dennis Franchione his 200th career win. Lowe had 30 rushes for 138 yards and three touchdowns. It was his second consecutive game with over 100 rushing yards. He did not register a lot of big-time stats in the first two games which makes this stat more impressive.
- First 3 games: 141 rushing yards, 2 touchdown runs
- Wyoming game: 138 rushing yards, 3 touchdown runs
The Troy Trojans may have fallen short to the Duke Blue Devils, but quarterback Corey Robinson is as impressive as it gets. Robinson was an amazing 35-for-45 passing for 354 yards and two touchdowns. The 78 percent passing is actually the third best of his five games. Overall this season he has a 73.8 completion percentage. Here is his completion percentage this season if you break it down quarter by quarter.
- 1st quarter: 76.9 %
- 2nd quarter: 75.6 %
- 3rd quarter: 73.7 %
- 4th quarter: 68.3 %
